Developing and Testing an Evidence Based Teenage Behaviour Change Programme

Project: Other

Project Details

Description

Over the last 10 years HENRY has developed, delivered and tested a behaviour change approach to supporting parents in providing a healthy start in life for babies and young children. The Charity also developed a programme for parents of primary school children which is being piloted and tested in 3 local authorities. HENRY is seeking to extend its behaviour change approach to supporting teenagers to adopt healthier lifestyles.

This four year partnership involves the HKEP associate focusing on reviewing the best current evidence and consulting with adolescents, health professionals, and commissioners about how we can best help adolescents them improve their wellbeing. The project will then progress to testing the feasibility of a new teenage programme to improve physical and emotional wellbeing, through changes in physical activity and eating behaviours.
