Project Details
Description
The aim of this project is to create an accessible online educational resource called Disability Sport Info, which will explain various aspects of disability sport to a non-academic audience. Disability Sport Info will include the creation of a website, YouTube videos, and a podcast. Disability Sport Info is currently live in the form of a podcast and a YouTube channel.
The podcast features academic experts in the field and practitioners to explore various different issues and content related to disability sport. The podcast has explored the following topics:
- Paralympic Games
- Grassroots sport participation
- High-performance sport
- Sport spectatorship
- Key organisations (e.g. London Sport; Activity Alliance)
The Disability Sport Info YouTube channel was launched in June 2024. It includes live recordings of the podcast, commentary, podcast episodes, and it will soon host short explainer videos.
