Effects of cultivar resistance and efficacy of fungicides on control of phoma stem canker pathogens of oilseed rape.

Project: Research

Project Details

British Society for Plant Pathology (BSPP) summer student bursary award to investigate the effectiveness of different disease management methods on control of two closely related fungal plant pathogen species of oilseed rape. Objectives: 1. To study the effect of cultivar resistance against Leptosphaeria maculans (Lm) and L. biglobosa (Lb). 2. To investigate the efficacy of fungicides for control of Lm and Lb. This research will be linked to the on-going AgriTech-funded research project led by Dr. Yongju Huang.
