Experiences of taking part in Parkinson’s research - a conference for the Parkinson’s Research Outreach Network (PRONET) at UH

Project: Research

Project Details

Description

This Parkinson’s UK-funded project supported the organisation and delivery of a co-produced public engagement event by the PRONET team, comprising researchers from the University of Hertfordshire and people with lived experience of Parkinson’s. Held in March 2025 at a community venue in Stevenage, the event featured a panel discussion exploring participants’ experiences of taking part in Parkinson’s research. It aimed to demystify the research process and promote wider engagement. The event’s design and location were informed by feedback gathered during PRONET workshops with the local Parkinson’s community in 2024, funded through an ESRC Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) award from the University of Hertfordshire.
