Description

Lost Mothers is a powerful new film created with Clean Break and inspired by Dr Laura Abbott’s research at the University of Hertfordshire. Based on real stories and developed with women who have lived through separation by imprisonment, the film explores the trauma and challenges faced by mothers and their babies. Building on the success of the stage play, seen by over 1,000 people at 15
venues and soon to be performed at Westminster, this film will raise awareness, spark vital conversations, and drive positive change in how society and services respond to mothers in the criminal justice system.
