Project Details
Description
In the current proposal, explant micropropagation (in vitro tissue culture), clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPR), CRISPR/Cas9-equipped Agrobacterium-mediated Genome Editing (GE) and novel analytical and computational approaches will be tested, developed and optimized for the genetic engineering of multiple cannabis cultivars owned by the Company (Bud & Tender Ltd.).
The goal is to produce cannabinoids more cheaply, efficiently and reliably through the development of new therapeutic GE-cannabis cultivars with increased ratios of targeted therapeutically cannabinoids for medical and wellness treatments.
