Project Details
Description
The project is to use guided waves to inspect the sealing quality of fluid filled wells, funded by industry. An ultrasonic transducer will be placed in the fluid at the centre of a well, and ultrasound will propagate in the fluid, pipe wall, concrete and earth formation coupled system. The acoustic log of the transmitted signal will then be used to analyse the sealing quality of the well. The project is to solve problems that involve a second layer of pipe and concrete that are used to protect the sealing of the wells. £ 50, 805.00
