• Devise industry-relevant manufacturing strategies for integrating operational optical fibres into braided composite structures.
• Develop the operational envelope of the sensors in response to mechanical loading (static, dynamic, fatigue).
• Demonstrate continuous and active structural health monitoring in a large-scale industry-relevant component.
