How do Dementia Friendly Communities involve those further along the dementia trajectory

The study will involve three phases a systematic review of how people with advanced dementia maintain engagement and contact with neighbours and co-residents (where appropriate),
• A social network analysis of a sample of older people with advanced dementia and their supporters living in Stevenage that will map their contacts, strength of association and frequency of involvement
• An in depth case study of initiatives in up to 3 care homes and if possible for up to 5 people living at home to support people with advanced dementia to participate in dementia friendly communities to establish what needs to be in place to support inclusion and develop relevant outcome measures of effectiveness for this group.
