Project Details
Description
Minor mergers are an important but poorly-understood driver of galaxy evolution, that significantly influence galaxy stellar-mass and size growth over cosmic time. This project is using the Wide Field Camera 3 to perform a spatially-resolved analysis (on unprecedented spatial scales of tens of parsecs) of stellar populations, star clusters and the star formation law in local early-type minor-merger remnants.
