Improving shared decision making in conversations about psychotropic medication use by patients with learning disabilities: developing an evidence-based communication training intervention for clinicians

The aim of this study is to improve decision making (regarding taking mental health medication) in conversations between psychiatrists and patients with learning disabilities and their carers. Appointments will be recorded to analyse communication with a view to providing assistance in the decision making process.
