Project Details

Description

Stevenage Borough Council’s Enterprise and Skills Agenda aims to equip local communities for a STEM-driven future, prioritising equitable access for young people from underserved backgrounds. Building on last year’s evaluation, a key gap identified is the underdeveloped role of the Creative Arts in supporting STEM engagement (STEAM). In partnership with Junction 7 Creatives, this project will deliver workshops with students from mainstream and alternative education settings to explore perceptions of STEAM. Findings will inform a Participatory Action Research (PAR) workshop with education leaders across Stevenage, co-creating practical strategies to strengthen and embed STEAM approaches within local education provision and future skills pathways.
