Layman's description

This project is a series of three conferences with associated publications on mathematics as culture and mathematics in culture.

Key findings

As a network project, the aim is to bring together disciplines and research communities hitherto separated. A notable success on this front it the mesh of relations now established between the study of mathematical practice community and the discipline of maths education research, in the UK and Europe.

Most of the presentations at the two meetings held so far are visible on YouTube, via the project website.

There will be a collection of papers based on the three conferences, to be published under the Birkhäuser Science imprimatur of the Springer group.
