Description
The team has been working with FareShare, the UK’s largest food redistribution charity on the
economic and social impact of food redistribution. This is a project that has received strong prior
support from the Business School as an impact case study. The latest output from the collaboration is a social return on investment study that estimates FareShare’s contribution at £225m per year. Ongoing work will analyse the economic and social impact of FareShare’s impact at individual level by a) investigating the relationship between food literacy and food aid and b) conceptualising a framework for food vulnerability. In addition, the team intends to further develop an interactive mapping tool with FareShare with the aim of optimising their operational efficiency.
