Project Details
Description
Pharmacokinetic testing (PK) can be used to personalise treatment by determining how much prophylaxis individual haemophilia patients need. In an ongoing Baxalta-funded project collaborating with Dr Dan Hart at the Royal London Hospital and the Southern Academic Coagulation Consortium, we are recruiting from 18 haemophilia centres in England, Scotland and Wales. Specifically we are capturing the impact on patient reported outcomes (such as knowledge, skills, confidence and quality of life) of large scale implementation of PK-guided prophylaxis dosing discussions using an online predictive tool (myPKFiT®) as part of routine care.
