Project Details
Description
The Centre for Astrophysics Research (CAR) at the University of Hertfordshire is an active research group consisting at the time of writing of 19 research-active academic staff, 13 postdoctoral fellows supported by STFC, the Royal Society,
EU funding sources and the University, and 35 postgraduate students, the vast majority on PhD programmes.
Our research is mostly observational in character, and spans topics between nearby exoplanets and distant galaxies, and wavelengths between radio and high-energy gamma rays, with a particular focus on large-area surveys.
Observations at Hertfordshire have been supported by PATT-linked grants for many years. This proposal for a PATT travel grant covers the period October 2017 – September 2019, and will support all CAR academic staff, postdocs
and students where permitted.
