Project Details
Description
This project forms a co-produced partnership between the University of Hertfordshire and the custodians of Camfield Place to begin to reframe Dame Barbara Cartland and Beatrix Potter within Hertfordshire’s literary landscape. Both remain two of the most published authors in the English language, with a readership that shaped popular literary culture in the 20th century and beyond. Through two outputs - a documentary film and a public study day at Camfield Place - the project produces durable impact assets that will allow public audiences to engage with this fascinating literary heritage.
