RED BULL Virtual Reality Experience
Key findings
My freelance role on this project was to help blend the LIDAR scan data into the Royal Ascot stadium inside the Unreal 4 Engine. Foliage, race track and generalist 3D help was my focus for the project.
Red Bull teamed up with RewindFX to bring one of the most exciting experiences available in the world of virtual reality. Using cutting-edge technology, Red Bull is introducing a fully immersive flying experience that you can't miss. So get ready to strap on an Oculus Rift headset and become part of the worlds fastest motorsport and enjoy a lap of the Ascot race course in full stereoscopic 3D.
If you miss the experience at Ascot then prepare for the chance to take off in Paul Bonhomme’s Red Bull Air Race plane at a Cineworld near you, just check the schedule below and get strapped in!
