Project Details

Description

Teenagers (13-17) of Hemel Hempstead will, in local youth activities, create a youth-friendly, dynamic
new town trail, to engage with its past and reinvent the future on its 80th anniversary. The trail design is based on research into sustainable urban development of small towns by the lead academic, and its historic development, in collaboration with Dacorum Heritage and Dacorum Borough Council. The teens will select, curate and create digital assets, with guidance from academics, youth leaders, students, and heritage volunteers, creating an impactful, sustainable trail to attract younger people to the town and engage in its future.
