Research on equality and diversity in the work of the Sentencing Council

Research project to review the work of the Sentencing Council and consider the potential for disparity in sentencing across demographic groups. The project team will consider the language used and factors considered in the Sentencing Guidelines. They will also seek input from underrepresented groups, particularly those affected by sentencing, to advise the Council on how to raise awareness and understanding of the Sentencing Guidelines.
