'Researching the Implementation and Evaluation of Patient and Public Involvement of Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) in CLAHRC East of England Research

Using Normalisation Process Theory, the research studied CLAHRC-funded projects as case studies to see how PPI activities and processes were embedded into institutional research culture.

Patient and public involvement in health research is a requirement for funding but can also be argued as a public and moral right. This research asked how do existing research practices 'fit' with PPI activities and processes.
