Sculptors of the Future

Project: Research

Project Details

Description

Contemporary sculptor David Kefford will collaborate with Henry Moore Studios and Gardens (HMS&G) on a research-informed knowledge exchange placement that connects Henry Moore’s legacy with how sculpture can be made today. Working with the Sculpture Club, a group of young people aged 14–18, the placement explores sculpture through hands-on making, landscape, and digital processes including 3D scanning and fabrication. Participants will develop creative confidence, gain insight into cultural sector pathways, and engage with sculpture as a contemporary practice. The project establishes a long-term partnership between the University of Hertfordshire and HMS&G, supporting future engagement, learning, and knowledge exchange.
