The Reflective Fostering Programme – improving the wellbeing of looked after children through psychoeducation groups for foster carers: a randomised controlled trial

Project: Research

Project Details

Description

The Reflective Fostering Programme aims to help foster carers provide better care to looked after children. The Programme consists of ten, three-hour sessions, run by social workers, to promote 'reflective fostering'. This enables carers to step back from situations and take a different perspective. Studies have shown that when carers can do this, they build stronger relationships with children.
