The purpose of this project is to help ensure research aimed at transforming the food system addresses that system in a holistic way, according to the principles of the ‘Transforming the UK food system for healthy people and a healthy environment’ Programme (the Programme). It is also aimed at supporting the Programme’s translation and impact activities, by analysing how ‘transformation’ is being operationalised in proposals – both in terms of both policy and actual interventions and activities – and highlighting lessons from attempts at food system change in other countries.
