Using art and nature to enhance well-being: Perspectives from older people and people living with dementia

Project: Research

Project Details

Description

This project explores how nature-based experiences and art therapy practices at a heritage visitor attraction can be harnessed to improve the well-being of older people and people living with dementia in the community. Over three years, the project will demonstrate, test and evaluate a series of practices developed by one visitor economy business, SHHG, to build relationships with and stimulate positive psychological outcomes for older people and people living with dementia in the community. The outcome of this project will be robust evidence based on longitudinal measures and novel research techniques to create guidance for the wider visitor economy.
