Project Details
Description
A primary goal of scale development is to create a valid measure of an underlying construct [1], in this case a Patient Reported Experience Measure (PREM). The aim of the CKD PREM is to accurately and reliably measure the experience people with CKD have of the care they receive from their renal unit. Validation has been described as a process of determining the degree of confidence that we can place on the inferences we can make about people based on their measure scores [2]. This document scopes the steps required to establish the validity and reliability of the CKD PREM, make recommendations based on these findings, and work with the project team to consider a revised version.
