Project Details

Description

This recently funded collaborative research project – Wording Urban Diffusion – was undertaken through research and networking events and meetings in France and the United Kingdom in 2025. The process aim was to finalise the discourse analysis-based project about the language of urbanism and its practical impact on placemaking. The application to fund this process from UH Global Research and Enterprise Fund arose from the desire to further develop research already underway on the language of urban diffusion with long term research partners and to further develop and refine its research outputs. The project was undertaken through a series of meetings in Grenoble and London in May-June 2025. The aim was explored through two objectives, to:

a) work on collaborative outputs
b) sustain an ongoing research partnership
