Abstract
In Ukraine, the increasing number of enterprises engaged in foreign economic activity (FEA) necessitates effective employee motivation and management systems to remain competitive in a dynamic global environment. The success of these enterprises depends on fostering collaboration and leveraging the collective expertise of their teams. Effective labor management within FEA organizations ensures flexibility, innovation, and competitive advantage amid the challenges of a volatile business landscape.
Teams of employees with complementary skills, unified by common goals and shared accountability, are critical to achieving organizational objectives. Modern enterprises recognize that employee motivation significantly impacts project completion and overall productivity. Well-structured team management strategies and appropriate motivation systems, including fair compensation, are vital in building and sustaining high-performing teams.
This study examines the team-based motivation strategies implemented at the state enterprise "Sumy Biological Factory." Despite efforts to establish a rational wage system, challenges persist in aligning salary structures with performance-based incentives. The analysis reveals that while the average annual salary increased by UAH 16,350 from 2011 to 2015, the imbalance between basic and additional wages hinders employee motivation. This imbalance discourages workers from exceeding performance norms, ultimately impacting organizational efficiency and product sales.
A deeper examination of workforce dynamics from 2011 to 2015 reveals a 28.5% reduction in the average number of permanent employees due to production process automation and restructuring. These workforce changes highlight the need for comprehensive management approaches that address both quantitative and qualitative labor resource optimization.
This article underscores the importance of aligning motivational systems with labor management strategies to enhance employee engagement, foster innovation, and achieve sustainable growth in FEA enterprises.
