Abstract
Riboflavin is a water-soluble micronutrient that is essential for growth, reproduction of cells, and has numerous other wide-ranging benefits for the human body. It can help prevent aging, inflammation, and conditions such as cancer and sepsis, whilst also acting as an antioxidant [1, 2]. It also could contribute towards the alleviation of migraine symptoms [1]; since riboflavin reduces oxidative stress, mitochondrial dysfunction and neuroinflammation [1-5] which contribute to migraine aetiology. While there is currently no evidence that riboflavin deficiency causes migraines, riboflavin is increasingly being administered to patients because of its preventative effects [1].
