Abstract

A Day in the Life of a Medication Safety Officer Role was created after the ‘Improving medication error incident reporting and learning’ patient safety alert was published in March 2014. It stated that all healthcare trusts were required to identify a board-level director to oversee medication error incident reporting and learning.
