Abstract
The debate on international business behaviour is located within a “productionist” framework which is used to reveal similarities and differences in the corporate governance of multinational business. A “financialized” account of global business locates corporate behaviour in a framework which emphases the importance of capital markets and how accounting metrics reflect the interest(s) of shareholders
