Abstract
This chapters’ focus is on the challenges faced by, and resilience demonstrated by pregnant women and new mothers in prison. Combining health and criminology research findings offers a unique perspective of women’s accounts of their encounters, exploring their agency and celebrating the capacity and resilience shown.
