Abstract
In this paper I argue for the involvement of clinical psychologists working in community learning disability teams (CLTDs) in the assessment of parents with learning disabilities. I suggest how engagement in this work and a deeper appreciation of the experiences of parents with learning disabilities and their children can contribute to richer conceptualisations of parenting and childhood.
