Abstract

I welcome the opportunity to provide comments on the call for evidence by the House of Lords Committee on Democracy and Digital Technologies. The Committee expressly contacted me via email on the 22nd July 2019 to share my views with them. I am submitting this written evidence in a personal capacity. Crucially, the evidence that the Committee collects will provide an important and valuable contribution to the debate as to whether democracies should embrace or fear digital technologies.
