Abstract

In this text Woods studies the notion of democratic leadership. He explores the term and what it means, the varying forms it can occupy, and conveys how it is relevant to learning and school education. Woods portrays how the values and theories of democratic leadership can be used in practice, and states some of the problems that democratic leadership brings in today’s education.
This text challenges many inherent presumptions of educational policies and typical methods of leadership.
