Devil's Advocates: The Shining

Research output: Book/ReportBook

Abstract

Moving away from detailed analyses of The Shining's meaning and exhaustive studies of the film's production history, this book explores the process of adaptation between King and Kubrick's versions, the film's reception contexts, and generic and thematic conventions, in an attempt to situate the film in its rightful place within the contemporary history of horror cinema.
