Abstract
The paper presents results of static tensile tests of specimens made of 45 steel after holding them for 100 h in a corrosive medium. It has been shown that due to the pretreatment of specimens with electric current pulse of high density, the corrosion rate of metal decreases, as a result of which their strength becomes higher than that of untreated specimens
