    Abstract

    This text is an invaluable guide to pre-registration nursing programmes, aimed at students of degree or diploma level, and for those on post-registration courses.

    This revised edition portrays the requirements of contemporary professional educational environment for students and others preparing for registration as a nurse. Yet is continues to detail practice and conveys the needs of people who need nursing and health care. Furthermore, it utilises the 2008 NMC Code at the core of the majority of its chapters.

    By extending on the changes that began in the fourth edition, the standards of pre-registration nursing programmes, the fitness for practice initiative and health policy improvements within UK countries, this text gives students support as they acquire the skills in criticism that aid the growth of a professional practitioner.
