Abstract
Freud’s Body:
Sigmund Freud's skull (2014) Graphite on paper, 160 x 120 cm
Monster (2015) Graphite on paper,54 x 59.5cm

This series was produced for the group exhibition An Internal Difficulty: Australian Artists at the Freud Museum London curated by Andrew Nicholls and presented at Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts in 2015 as part of the Perth International Arts Festival. The exhibition brought together seven Australian artists to consider the figure of Sigmund Freud in relation to his domestic context and developed through a research residency at the Freud Museum London in 2013. Costantino’s three artworks respond to the encounter with artefacts in the Museum’s archives by exploring themes of loss and lack in relation to Freud’s body.
