Abstract
The Refe Late Community in the Uplands was identified through a CRWRC research survey as a community that was so remote that it had got no help from any aid organisation after the earthquake. However, this remote hill community has tried to rebuild itself by planting in terraces on the mountainside so that soil erosion is minimized and the soil is conserved.
