    Abstract

As a children's nurse, over the years I have remained a keen stakeholder with reference to the way children's services continue to grow and develop, and the preparation of the practitioners that make such an expansion possible. As a very senior nurse within a university context, last year was particularly gratifying in this regard, with a significant emphasis on both pre-registration and post-qualification education being associated with the workforce necessary to support children and their families.
