Arts Council funded commission from producer Bobby Tiwana, the first in a film duology titled 'Love Works'. The films explore LGBT relationships in British Asian culture, one focusing on parental relationships, one on romantic relationships, one from a female perspective and one from a male perspective. They were based on research with participants from within the community, the recorded conversations were then sent to writer Carl Miller to compose 2 x texts from which were then sent to me to adapt to screen. To date the film has had audience participation of 3070 people and has screened at numerous festivals including 4 BAFTA qualifying festivals such as Raindance, London International Animation Festival, Tricky Women, Rio Festival of Gender and Sexuality, Brest European Short Film festival. It has nominated for numerous awards and won an Animation award at Corto Di Donne in Italy.
