Abstract

This series, the "Shakespearean Originals," seeks to give the reader of modern drama examples of 16th and 17th-century playtexts in a form that are published in as close as mirror-image form as possible to the original texts. This is paramount when considered such texts as historical documents. All volumes in the series include a general introduction to the series as well as to the particular play, the original text, a specific bibliography, full annotations and some sample facsimile pages from the original play text.
