Abstract
The focus of this chapter is an analysis of a mentoring conversation between Jayne (pseudonym, mentee), a UEFA Advanced Licence football coach, and Michael (pseudonym. mentor), a UEFA Professional Licence football coach. The purpose of the conversation for Jayne was to gain additional insights into Michael’s experience as an international coach and receive additional career-related support following the successful completion of her UEFA Advanced Licence. The chapter highlights a number of issues that are important for mentors and mentees to consider when attempting to facilitate effective pedagogical mentoring interactions.
