Abstract

This wall-based sculptural assemblage was exhibited in Clinging On (Glassyard Studios, London, 2025). Constructed from recycled and improvised materials, the work explored instability and precariousness through its fragile physicality and resistance to gravity. Part of David Kefford’s DFA research, the piece developed as a hybrid bodily entity that responds to posthuman and queer ecological frameworks, emphasising weathering, adaptation, and material agency.
