Abstract

The results of lidar sounding of radiation fog and clouds were presented. The changes in the polarization characteristics of the lidar signals were studied depending on the receiver's viewing angle. The viewing angle of the lidar was varied to study the multiple scattering effect. Concrete depolarization coefficient values were obtained from which conclusions were drawn about the phase composition of the cloud formations.
