Abstract
This chapter explores the critical role of patient safety in healthcare, emphasizing its importance as a core principle in pharmacy education. It highlights the need for explicit teaching of safety competencies through interprofessional education, simulation, and case-based learning, alongside effective assessment of knowledge, skills, and attitudes. As pharmacists’ roles expand, preparing graduates to navigate complex, resource-constrained systems is essential.
