Abstract

This poster focuses on Sustainable Antimicrobial Stewardship and its application before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. It assesses how the pandemic has highlighted the need for sustainable antimicrobial practices to combat Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and improve patient outcomes. The project encompasses three sequential studies: a systematic literature review on AMS in acute settings, a retrospective review of medical records to evaluate AMS effectiveness, and prospective survey questionnaire study to understand healthcare professionals' attitudes towards antibiotic prescribing and AMS. This comprehensive approach aims to inform policy development, enhance AMS implementation, and devise strategies to mitigate the impact of crises on AMS and AMR.
