Abstract

The work reports on the results of the systematic measurements of the particle optical properties (extinction and backscatter coefficients) and especially the lidar ratio in the troposphere over Tsukuba, Japan. The measurements were performed using a high-spectral-resolution lidar based on iodine absorption filter. We present results from sounding in cases of troposheric aerosol layers and cirrus clouds.
