Abstract

This paper critiques and celebrates popular global television programmes and explores the impact such shows have on student led studio productions. It examines the key ingredients that make a successful TV programme, the influence of such shows on students making their own productions, pitfalls to consider and ways to successfully draw upon this relationship in the ever changing world of television.
